St. Paul’s University College Awka, currently has two faculties – Social Sciences and Management Sciences, offering degree and diploma programmes in various disciplines. The Faculties are headed by the Deans of Faculties while each of the departments are headed by Heads of Departments.

A.) Faculty of Social Sciences
The Department of Religion and Theology We offer:
i.) 3-year BA degree programme in Religion
ii.) 4-year BA degree programme in Religion
iii.) 2-year diploma programme in Religion
iv.) 3-year diploma programme in Theology
v.) 2-year certificate programme in Theology (designed to expose candidates to sound theological education that will equip them to service in both the Church and society) In-Service courses in Theology: The College offers in-service courses in Theology to persons who are already ordained, or lay persons who have degrees in Religion and need further study in Theology.

NOTE : Programmes (i) to (iii) above are offered in affiliation with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka which also awards the degree and the diploma. Programmes (iv) to (v) above are offered by the
College.

The main objective of the Department of Religion and Theology is to provide an ideal environment for the training of clergy of the highest standard. The Department promotes scholarship and encourage research works.

The programme of the Department acquaints the students with the principal contents of the major religious traditions in the country and in the world, viz; Christianity, Islam, African Traditional Religion, and Eastern Religions.

Entry Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into the Department must possess the minimum entry requirement of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and submit themselves for a selection interview at St. Paul's University College, Awka. The details are as follows:

(a) For Entrance Candidates:

4-year B.A. Honours degree in Religion: Five credit level passes in Senior Secondary Certificate or its equivalent (obtained in not more than two sittings), including English language, a Science subject and Bible knowledge; AND a pass in the College entrance examination.

(b) For Direct Entry Candidates:

3-year B.A. Honours degree in Religion (Direct Entry):
(i) Five passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate examination or an equivalent certificate, three of which must be at credit level, AND two passes at the Advanced level, including Bible Knowlwdge.

(ii) St. Paul's 3-year Diploma or other diplomas approved by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

B.) Faculty of Management Sciences
The Faculty of Management Sciences in affliation with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka has four departments and offers the following 4-year programmes which lead to BSc Honours Degree in

a.) Banking and Finance

b.) Management/Business Administration

c.) Marketing

d.) Accountancy

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

a.) For Entrance Candidates:

Five Credit level passes (in a maximum of two sittings) in English, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects, including a pass at cut-off level in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Universities Matriculation Examination (UME).

b.) For Direct Entry Candidates:

Holders of National Diplomas and other approved diplomas in relevant subjects.

NOTE: THE DURATION OF THE COURSES FOR BOTH THE DIRECT ENTRY AND THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION CANDIDATES IS FOUR YEARS.
